خلها تعبر سهاله

خلها تعبر سهاله

Beautify this world and the next;

It makes life and the afterlife pleasant

Let it pass with ease.

Let it flow smoothly

رب لا تكشف لحالي

رب لا تكشف لحالي

إن حالي خس حاله

إن حالي خس حاله

Lord, do not lay bare my state,

My Lord, do not expose my state

For my state is the vilest of states:

For my state is most miserable

كلها اثم وزور

كلها اثم وزور

وغرور وجهاله

وغرور وجهاله

All of it is sin and falsehood,

Full of sin and falsehood

And delusion and ignorance.

Deceit and ignorance

كل طاعاتي بغفله

كل طاعاتي بغفله

حاويه كل الرذاله

حاويه كل الرذاله

All my acts of obedience are heedless,

All my acts of worship are heedless

Containing every vice.

Containing all vileness

ماترى فيها صحيحا

ماترى فيها صحيحا

وسليما من جهاله

وسليما من جهاله

You see nothing sound in them,

None in them is sound

Nor anything free of ignorance.

Or free of ignorance

رب اصلح لي فؤادي

رب اصلح لي فؤادي

بالنبي الطاهر وآله

بالنبي الطاهر وآله

Lord, set my heart right for me,

My Lord, set right my heart

Through the pure Prophet and his family.

Through the Prophet, the pure one and his family
