1. عسى نفحة الرحمن تأت من الرب

    تعم البرايا لا بكد ولا كسب

    May a breeze of the All-Merciful come from the Lord,

    encompassing all creatures, not through toil or earning,

  2. سوى محض فضل الله جودا ومنة

    وعفوا وصفوا عين أفضاله الوهبي

    but only God's pure bounty, generosity, and grace,

    and pardon and purity—the very essence of His freely bestowed favors.

  3. بها يستقيم الكل في خير ملة

    على ملة الاسلام بالجسم والقلب

    Through it, everyone is set right in the best faith,

    following the faith of Islam in body and heart,

  4. مطيعين للرحمن في كل أمره

    ونترك كل الاثم والوزر والذنب

    obedient to the All-Merciful in His every command,

    and we abandon all sin, guilt, and wrongdoing.

  5. وماذا على ربي عزيز فانه

    إذا شاء أمرا كان في غاية القرب

    And what is difficult for my Lord? For He,

    when He wills a thing, it is very close at hand.

  6. تفضل عظيم الفضل وامنن بتوبة

    علينا تولي بالغموم وبالكرب

    Be gracious, O You of great bounty, and bestow repentance

    upon us, doing away with sorrows and distress.

  7. ونمسي بها في خير حال وعيشة

    على الشكر للصحة والامن والخصب

    And through it may we spend the evening in the best condition and life,

    with gratitude for health, security, and abundance.

  8. فكم لك من جودكم لك من عطا

    وكم تتفضل يا الهي وكم تحبي

    How abundant is Your generosity, how abundant Your giving!

    And how often You show favor, O my God, and how often You bestow gifts!

  9. فزدنا وزدنا ثم زدنا وهب لنا

    بفضلك فضلا ليس يخطر في اللب

    So give us more, and more, then more, and bestow on us,

    through Your grace, bounty that never crosses the mind.

  10. فكم حاجة منك طلبنا فانجزت

    وزدت عليها فوق أضعافها يربي

    For how many a need have we asked of You, and You fulfilled it,

    and You added still more, surpassing its manyfold measure.

  11. وكم محنة منك طلبنا زوالها

    فزالت وما عنها خبير بهاينبي

    And how many an ordeal have we asked You to remove,

    and it vanished, with no one aware of it to report it.

  12. ولي ربي حاجات فياربي اقضها

    جميعا قريبا ثم هب لي مناقلبي

    And I have needs, my Lord; so, O my Lord, fulfill them,

    all of them, soon; then grant me my heart's wishes.

  13. بجاه شفيع الخلق تقضى حوائجي

    عليه صلاة الله والآل والصحب

    By the standing of creation's intercessor, may my needs be fulfilled.

    God's blessings be upon him, his family, and his companions.
