يا رب جئناك نطلب منك مالايعد

وليس يحصى بمقدار وليس يحد

O Lord, we have come to You, asking You for what cannot be counted,

Nor reckoned by any measure, nor bounded.

فبحر جودك يروى كل من قد ورد

وعم إحسانك الشاكر ومن قد جحد

For the sea of Your bounty quenches everyone who comes to it.

And Your kindness embraces the grateful and those who deny it.

ولي طمع فيك وافرجم ممدود مد

عاكف على باب جودك ليس لي عنه صد

And my hope in You is abundant and immense, stretching far.

I abide at the gate of Your bounty, never turning away.

راجيك راجيك لست أرجو سواك حد

راجي وخايف ومن جامر تجي مايرد

I hope in You, I hope in You; I hope in no one else.

Hopeful and fearful; whoever comes hoping is not turned away.

راجي عطاياك في دنياى سيدي وغد

فلا تخيب رجاي ياالكريم الصمد

I hope for Your gifts in my earthly life, my Master, and tomorrow.

So do not disappoint my hope, O Generous One, Refuge of all.

يا رب عبدك قسا قلبه وفعله فسد

وضاع وقته وهو حائر كثير النكد

O Lord, Your servant's heart has hardened, and his conduct has become corrupt.

His time has been wasted, and he is bewildered, burdened with distress.

يا رب جيناك نطلب منك كشف الشدد

تبدل الخوف أمنا والغلا بالرغد

O Lord, we have come to You, asking You to lift our hardships.

Replace fear with safety, and high prices with plenty.

قد ضقت زرعا وصبري يا إلهي نفد

إن البلا يا إلهي قد تمادى وشد

I am at my wits' end, and my patience, O my God, is spent.

Indeed, affliction, O my God, has persisted and grown severe.

وكل ظالم تصدى للعداوة وجد

وبالغوافي أذى القربى إلى غير حد

And every oppressor has set himself to hostility and pursued it in earnest.

And they have gone to boundless lengths in harming kin.

وطال وقت المضرة يا إلهي ومد

ما خافوا الله ولا راعوا حقوقا لجد

The time of suffering has dragged on, O my God, and stretched far.

They did not fear God, nor honor the rights of a forefather.

واليوم جيناك يا ملجا لمن قد شرد

جيناك جيناك لاعده ولاشى عدد

And today we have come to You, O refuge for whoever has been driven away.

We have come to You, come to You, with neither equipment nor numbers.

جيناك جيناك بالفقر وضعف الجسد

جيناك جيناك نطلب منك ربي مدد

We have come to You, come to You, in poverty and bodily weakness.

We have come to You, come to You, asking You, my Lord, for aid.

انا مقرون بالتقصير طول الأبد

فاكف أذى كل مؤذي ياالكريم الصمد

Indeed, we acknowledge our shortcomings for all time.

So ward off the harm of every wrongdoer, O Generous One, Refuge of all.

فالحال قد ضاق يا رب وقل النقد

يا رب عجل بالفرج يا أحد

For circumstances have grown dire, O Lord, and money has dwindled.

O Lord, hasten relief, O One.

يا رب عجل بغارة منك من غير يد

في الحال في الحال يا مولاي فالصبر قد

O Lord, hasten a rescuing raid from You, without a human hand.

At once, at once, my Master—for patience is torn apart—

من قبل أن يشمت المبغض ومن قد حسد

فلا تفرح بنا الشاني كثير اللدد

Before the hateful and the envious can gloat.

So do not let the spiteful, fiercely contentious foe rejoice over us.

وإن أتينا ذنوبا وافره لا تعد

فالعفو والفضل واسع ليس له قد حد

Though we have committed sins in abundance, beyond counting,

For Your pardon and bounty are vast, with neither measure nor limit.

وأستغفرالله من ذنبي ونقض العقد

ونسأل الله لمن عمره تقضى أو نفد

And I ask God's forgiveness for my sin and for breaking the covenant.

And we ask God, for anyone whose life is spent or has run out,

ختام خير فلا يلقى النصب والشدد

ثم الصلاة مع التسليم دائم أبد

A good ending, so that he meets neither weariness nor hardship.

Then blessings and peace, always and forever,

على النبي رسول الله ما نجم مد

والآل والصحب والتابع لهم ما نشد

Upon the Prophet, God's Messenger, as long as a star spreads its light,

And his family, companions, and their followers, as long as one chants.
