عبادservants اللهof God جيناكمwe have come to you قصدناwe sought طلبناكمwe beseeched you
عباد الله جيناكم قصدنا طلبناكم
تعينوناyou help us تغيثوناyou come to our rescue
تعينونا تغيثونا
Servants of God, we have come to you, seeking and beseeching you,
To help us, to come to our rescue,
بهمتكمthrough your resolve وجدواكمand your generosity فأحبوناso love us وأعطوناand give us
بهمتكم وجدواكم فأحبونا وأعطونا
عطاياكمyour bounties هداياكمyour gifts
عطاياكم هداياكم
Through your resolve and generosity; so love us and give us
Your bounties, your gifts.
فلاso may … not خيبتموyou disappoint ظنيmy hope فحاشاكمfor far be it from you وحاشاكمand far be it from you
فلا خيبتمو ظني فحاشاكم وحاشاكم
سعدناwe were happy إذwhen أتيناكمwe came to you
سعدنا إذ أتيناكم
So may you not disappoint my hope—far be it from you, far be it from you!
We found happiness when we came to you,
وفزناand we succeeded حينwhen زرناكمwe visited you فقومواso rise واشفعواand intercede فيناfor us
وفزنا حين زرناكم فقوموا واشفعوا فينا
إلىto الرحمنthe All-Merciful مولاكمyour Lord
إلى الرحمن مولاكم
And we found success when we visited you; so rise and intercede for us
With the All-Merciful, your Lord.
عسىmay نحظىwe find favor عسىmay نعطيwe are granted مزاياspecial graces منfrom مزاياكمyour special graces
عسى نحظى عسى نعطي مزايا من مزاياكم
عسىmay نظرهa glance عسىmay رحمهmercy
عسى نظره عسى رحمه
May we find favor; may we be granted some of your special graces.
May a glance, may mercy
تغشاناenfolds us وتغشاكمand enfolds you وسلمand grant peace ماas long as أتيناكمwe come to you
تغشانا وتغشاكم وسلم ما أتيناكم
علىupon المختارthe Chosen One شافعناour intercessor
على المختار شافعنا
Enfold us and enfold you; and grant peace, as long as we come to you,
Upon the Chosen One, our intercessor.
