بعد هذا البعد يصلح لي

Do you think, O dark-eyed one,

O you with tired eyes,

that after this separation it may be granted me

After this distance will it be right for me,

إن أرى البيت العتيق وإن

إن أرى البيت العتيق وإن

أشتفى في الركن بالقبل

أشتفى في الركن بالقبل

to see the Ancient House, and

If I see the old house, and

find healing at the Corner through kisses,

Quench my thirst in the corner with a kiss,

والتزم لي بملتزم

والتزم لي بملتزم

وأنال غاية الأمل

وأنال غاية الأمل

and cling for myself at the Multazam,

And devote myself with devotion,

and attain the utmost of my hope,

And attain the utmost hope,

والدعا في المدعي وأرى

والدعا في المدعي وأرى

كل خير قد قد أتى قبلي

كل خير قد قد أتى قبلي

and offer supplication at al-Mad‘a, and see

And pray for the supplicant, and see

every good thing that has indeed already come before me,

All the good that has come before me,

وأنل فوق المنى بمنى

وأنل فوق المنى بمنى

وصفالي في الصفا عملي

وصفالي في الصفا عملي

and gain beyond my wishes at Mina,

And attain above wishes with wishes

and have my work grow pure for me at al-Safa,

And my deeds in Al-Safa are correct,

وأعرف المعروف في عرفه

وأعرف المعروف في عرفه

وأنال السول في سبلي

وأنال السول في سبلي

and come to know goodness at Arafah,

And I know gratitude in its norm,

and attain my desire along my paths?

And attain ease in my ways.

فضل من ربي بلا سبب

فضل من ربي بلا سبب

لا بكسبي لا ولا حيلى

لا بكسبي لا ولا حيلى

A bounty from my Lord, without any cause—

Favor from my Lord without cause,

not through my own efforts—no, nor my devices.

Not with my earning, nor my tricks,

ليس هذا بالعجيب ولا

ليس هذا بالعجيب ولا

بغريب من كريم ملي

بغريب من كريم ملي

This is no marvel, nor

This is not strange, nor

anything strange from One generous and rich in bounty.

Is it strange from a Generous King.

ثم مطلوبي وغايته

ثم مطلوبي وغايته

نيل ما في القلب في عجل

نيل ما في القلب في عجل

Then my request and its ultimate aim:

Then my request and his goal

to attain what is in my heart without delay.

Is to attain what is in the heart soon.

وكفى علم الكريم به

وكفى علم الكريم به

حسبي الله ويانعم الولي

حسبي الله ويانعم الولي

And the Generous One's knowledge of it suffices.

And the Generous’ knowledge of it is enough,

God is enough for me—and oh, what an excellent Protector!

Allah is enough for me and the blessing of the Guardian.

يا أهيل الفضل والكرم

يا أهيل الفضل والكرم

استروني واغفر وازللي

استروني واغفر وازللي

O dear people of bounty and generosity,

O people of favor and generosity,

conceal my faults and forgive my slips.

Cover me and forgive and smooth my way for me.

سامحوني وارحموني ولا

سامحوني وارحموني ولا

تهملوني واصلحوا خللي

تهملوني واصلحوا خللي

Pardon me and have mercy on me, and do not

Forgive me and have mercy on me, and do not

neglect me, and mend my failings.

Neglect me, and correct my mistakes.

إنني بالذنب معترف

إنني بالذنب معترف

وبكل العيب والخطل

وبكل العيب والخطل

Indeed, I confess my sin,

I admit to the sin,

and every fault and error.

And all the fault and error.

فاعف واصفح يا كريم وكن

فاعف واصفح يا كريم وكن

لي إذا حان انقضا أجلي

لي إذا حان انقضا أجلي

So pardon and overlook, O Generous One, and be

So pardon and forgive O Generous one, and be

there for me when my appointed term comes to its end.

For me when the appointed time of death comes.

والصلاة والسلام على الشافع

والصلاة والسلام على الشافع

المقبول في الوجل

المقبول في الوجل

And blessings and peace upon the intercessor,

And peace and prayers be upon the Intercessor

whose intercession is accepted amid dread,

Who is accepted in adversity.

وعلى الأصحاب كلهم

وعلى الأصحاب كلهم

وعلى الآل وكل ولي

وعلى الآل وكل ولي

and upon all his companions,

And upon all the companions,

and upon his family and every saint.

And upon the family and all the loyal.
