مواهبا تترى وإحسانه

From the All-Merciful—glory be to Him—I hope

I hope to receive from the Most Merciful—glory be to Him—

for gifts in unbroken succession, and for His beneficence:

Gifts in succession and His beneficence,

والجود والبر وافضاله

والجود والبر وافضاله

وعفوه الشامل وغفرانه

وعفوه الشامل وغفرانه

for generosity, righteousness, and virtues;

And generosity, goodness, and His bounty,

for His all-embracing pardon and His forgiveness;

And His all-embracing pardon and His forgiveness,

واللطف والعطف مع منه

واللطف والعطف مع منه

وقربه الأسنى ورضوانه

وقربه الأسنى ورضوانه

for graciousness and compassion from Him;

And gentleness and compassion, together with His favor,

for His most sublime nearness and His good pleasure;

And the most sublime nearness to Him and His good pleasure,

والود والحب الذي من حظى

والود والحب الذي من حظى

منه بشيء في الورى زانه

منه بشيء في الورى زانه

and affection and love—whoever is granted

And affection and love, such that whoever gains

some share of it is thereby adorned among creation.

Any share of it is adorned by it among humankind.

يارب يامولاي ياخالقي

يارب يامولاي ياخالقي

أذهب عن القلب الذي رانه

أذهب عن القلب الذي رانه

O Lord, O my Master, O my Creator,

O Lord, O my Master, O my Creator,

remove from the heart what has encrusted it.

Remove from the heart whatever has stained it.

ياساتر العيب على من أسى

ياساتر العيب على من أسى

وكاشفا للعبد أشجانه

وكاشفا للعبد أشجانه

O You who veil the fault of one who has done wrong,

O You who conceal the faults of those who have done wrong,

and O You who dispel the servant’s sorrows,

And You who dispel the servant's sorrows,

أتيت بالأوزار زائر إلى

أتيت بالأوزار زائر إلى

البيت الذي عظمت أركانه

البيت الذي عظمت أركانه

I have come bearing sins, a visitor to

I have come bearing sins, a visitor to

the House whose pillars are exalted.

The House whose pillars are majestic.

هديتي فقري وذلي لكم

هديتي فقري وذلي لكم

فاعطف على من شأنه شانه

فاعطف على من شأنه شانه

My offering to you all is my poverty and abasement;

My gift to You is my poverty and my abasement;

so show compassion to one whose own condition has disgraced him.

So have compassion on one whose condition has disgraced him.

وامنن على عبدك يفوز المنى

وامنن على عبدك يفوز المنى

ولاتدنه بالذي دانه

ولاتدنه بالذي دانه

Bestow grace upon Your servant, that he may win his hopes,

And bestow favor on Your servant, that he may attain his wishes,

and do not condemn him for what has condemned him.

وصل يارب وسلم على

And bless, O Lord, and grant peace upon

Taha, whose scale You have made weighty,

Ta-Ha, whose scale You have made weightier,

والآل والصحب نجوم الهدى

من أظهر واللدين وبرهانه

من أظهر واللدين وبرهانه

and upon the Family and Companions—the stars of guidance—

And his family and companions, stars of guidance,

of him who made the faith and its proof manifest.
