يانوران شيئت النور

ويمسي القلب معمور

ويمسي القلب معمور

O Nur, if you desire the light,

O light, you have illuminated

and your heart to be filled,

And gladdened the heart

والصدر مشروح مسرور

والصدر مشروح مسرور

دومي على طاعة الله

دومي على طاعة الله

and your breast to be opened and joyful,

With joy and relief

remain steadfast in obedience to God.

Always obey Allah

وصلى الفرض كامل

وصلى الفرض كامل

واتركي كل شاغل

واتركي كل شاغل

And perform the obligatory prayer in full.

And pray the obligatory prayers completely

And leave behind every distraction,

And leave all distractions

من كل عالي وسافل

من كل عالي وسافل

من كل ما يسخط الله

من كل ما يسخط الله

from everything high and low,

From all high and low

from everything that angers God.

From all that angers Allah

واتركي للمقالات فإنها كلها آفات

واتركي للمقالات فإنها كلها آفات

وموجبه للندامات إلا لمن يذكر الله

وموجبه للندامات إلا لمن يذكر الله

And leave off talk, for it is all harmful,

And leave rhetoric for it is all evils

and causes regret, except for those who remember God.

And cause for regrets, except for remembering Allah

ولا تشوفين للناس

ولا تشوفين للناس

فالأنس بالناس إفلاس

فالأنس بالناس إفلاس

And do not look to people;

And do not look at people

for companionship with people is bankruptcy.

For being with people is loss

واذكرى حال الأرماس

واذكرى حال الأرماس

وحين نرجع إلى الله

وحين نرجع إلى الله

And remember the state of the graves,

And remember the state of the worms

and when we return to God.

And when we return to Allah

ولازمى الذكر سرمد

ولازمى الذكر سرمد

من غير عد ولاحد

من غير عد ولاحد

And keep to remembrance forever,

And hold fast to eternal remembrance

without count or limit.

Without limit or end

ينفعك في حين تلحد

ينفعك في حين تلحد

وليس يبقى سوى الله

وليس يبقى سوى الله

It will benefit you when you are laid in the grave,

It will benefit you when you are shrouded

and none will remain except God.

And nothing remains except Allah

واهلك ومالك يولون

واهلك ومالك يولون

وفوقك الطين يحثون

وفوقك الطين يحثون

And your family and your wealth will turn away,

Your family and wealth will go

and over you they will heap clay,

And above you the clay they will pour

وأموالك الكل يحوون

وأموالك الكل يحوون

فاطلب خلاصك من الله

فاطلب خلاصك من الله

and all will take possession of your wealth.

And all your wealth they will take

So seek your deliverance from God,

So seek your salvation from Allah

بالزهد في ذي الدنيه

بالزهد في ذي الدنيه

وكل خصله عليه

وكل خصله عليه

through renunciation of this world,

With asceticism in this lowly life

and every noble quality,

And every admirable trait

باخلاص في ذي الدنيه

باخلاص في ذي الدنيه

وكل خصله عليه

وكل خصله عليه

with sincerity in this world,

With sincerity and truthful intention

and every noble quality,

In every admirable trait

باخلاص مع صدق نيه

باخلاص مع صدق نيه

في كل خصله عليه

في كل خصله عليه

with sincerity and a true intention,

And stick to worship and leave all habits

in every noble quality.

And refuse pillows when Allah descends

ولازمي للعباده واتركي كل عاده

ولازمي للعباده واتركي كل عاده

وارفضي للوساده في وقت ماينزل الله

وارفضي للوساده في وقت ماينزل الله

And remain constant in worship, and abandon every habit.

Rise, seek what you want

And forsake the pillow at the time when God descends.

Of your worldly and religious affairs

قومي اطلبي ماتريدين

قومي اطلبي ماتريدين

من أمر دنياك والدين

من أمر دنياك والدين

Rise and ask for what you desire,

He will grant you in the moment and instant

in matters of your worldly life and religion.

If sincere and Allah willing

يعطيك في الساع والحين

يعطيك في الساع والحين

ذا صدق تحقيق والله

ذا صدق تحقيق والله

He will grant it to you that very hour and moment.

We ask Allah to have mercy

This is certain truth, by God.

And take away the worry and sorrow

فنسأل الله يرحم

فنسأل الله يرحم

ويذهب الهم والغم

ويذهب الهم والغم

So we ask God to have mercy,

And forgive our many sins

and dispel worry and sorrow,

O Forgiver of sins, O Allah

ويغفر أوزارنا الجم

ويغفر أوزارنا الجم

ياغافر الذنب ياالله

ياغافر الذنب ياالله

and forgive our many sins.

O Allah with sincere repentance

O Forgiver of sin, O God,

From every ugly trait

ياالله بتوبه صحيحه

ياالله بتوبه صحيحه

من كل خصله قبيحه

من كل خصله قبيحه

O God, grant us sound repentance,

And cause of disgrace

from every reprehensible trait,

On the day we are resurrected to Allah

وكل موجب فضيحه

وكل موجب فضيحه

في يوم نحشر إلى الله

في يوم نحشر إلى الله

and every cause of disgrace,

O Allah with a good ending

on the day we are gathered before God.

When death descends

يا الله بحسن الختام

يا الله بحسن الختام

عند نزول الحمام

عند نزول الحمام

O God, grant us a good end,

We descend to the Abode of Peace

when death descends,

Gardens in which is Allah's pleasure

ننزل بدار السلام

ننزل بدار السلام

جنات فيها رضا الله

جنات فيها رضا الله

that we may dwell in the abode of peace,

And our families and loved ones

gardens wherein lies God's pleasure,

And people of kindness in religion

وأهلنا والمحبين

وأهلنا والمحبين

وأهل المودات في الدين

وأهل المودات في الدين

and our family and those who love,

Without limit or specification

and those bound by affection in the faith,

Bounty and favour from Allah

من غير حصر وتعيين

من غير حصر وتعيين

فضل ومن من الله

فضل ومن من الله

without restriction or specification,

Then blessings upon Ahmed

as grace and bounty from God.

Taha the glorious Prophet

ثم الصلاة على أحمد

ثم الصلاة على أحمد

طه النبي الممجد

طه النبي الممجد

Then blessings be upon Ahmad,

Wherever odes are sung and poems recited

Ta-Ha, the glorified Prophet,

And rememberers of Allah mentioned

ما ناح قرى وغرد

ما ناح قرى وغرد

وما ذكر ذاكر الله

وما ذكر ذاكر الله

as long as a dove laments and sings,

and as long as anyone remembers God.
