Or do you not see how the days have decked themselves out,
Or do you not see how the days have adorned themselves,
and their spring is a ruler and guardian over them?
And spring has come upon them governing?

Through it the earth has donned beauty; her loveliness
The earth has worn beauty's garment and so become lovely,
is girded and turbaned in its striped robes.
Cloaked in its coolness, veiled.

Look at the gardens' blossoms, as though they were
Look at the blossoms of the gardens as if they were
finely patterned brocade that hands unfold.
A cloth the hands spread glittering.

And the blossoms fall like necklaces scattered apart,
And light descends like necklaces unstrung
and roses blush and daisies smile.
And the rose is shy, and the buds smile.

And dew strings pearls above them;
Dew forms above them into pearls
paired pearls have adorned the solitary blooms among them.
Which single and paired deck them.

And her narcissi almost shed tears when
And the narcissus sheds tears as if
morning comes, and blood drips from her anemones.
At dawn, bleeding from its slit stalk.

لَيلnight وَلاحَتand appear فيin دُجاهاits darkness الأَنجُمthe stars
A land to which the sky whispers when
A land the sky converses with when night falls
night grows dark and stars gleam in its gloom.
And the stars shine out in its darkness.
وَلِخُضرةand for the greenness الجَوthe sky إِخضِرارgreening رِياضهاher gardens

And her gardens' greenness matches the greenness of the sky,
For the greenness of the air is the greenness of its gardens
and its bloom is matched by flowers and blossoms springing forth.
And for its blossom, blossoms and light are born.

And just as the Milky Way's radiance cleaves its expanse,
And as the rain splits the Milky Way's darkness
a watercourse cleaves the earth, brimming and bountiful.
The land is split by streams teaming.

Only the full moon remained, as the sky gloried in it,
Nothing is left but the moon, as it goes astray
and rain bestowed by a low-hanging, drizzling cloud.
Living generously through its crescent's void.
