يا مَن يَزيل خلقة

يا مَن يَزيل خلقة

الرَحمن عَمّا خَلَقَت

الرَحمن عَمّا خَلَقَت

O you who alter the created form

O you who undoes what the Merciful created,

of the All-Merciful from the way it was made,

Repent and fear Allah for what your hands wrought.

تُب وَخِف اللَه عَلى

تُب وَخِف اللَه عَلى

كَفك مِما اِجتَرحت

كَفك مِما اِجتَرحت

repent, and fear God for

Will you have an excuse before Him

your hand, because of what it has committed.

When the beasts are gathered,

هَل لَكَ عُذر عِندَهُ

هَل لَكَ عُذر عِندَهُ

إِذا الوحوش حُشِرَت

إِذا الوحوش حُشِرَت

Will you have an excuse before Him

And asked in a beard that is plucked,

when the wild beasts are gathered,

"For what sin were you plucked?"

في لحيَةٍ إِن سُئِلَت

في لحيَةٍ إِن سُئِلَت

بِأَي ذَنبٍ نُتِفَت

بِأَي ذَنبٍ نُتِفَت

concerning a beard, if it is asked,

“For what sin was it plucked?”
