وَاِرفق بَعَبد في الهَوى حُرِّ

O Durr—O Pearl—return the choicest pearls;

O pearl, give back the peerless pearls;

and be gentle with one who, though freeborn, is love’s slave.

And be gentle with a free man enslaved by love.
