وَمَجلس شُرب جئته متطربا

وَمَجلس شُرب جئته متطربا

عَشاءاً وَعَين الشَمس في الأُفق تَنعس

عَشاءاً وَعَين الشَمس في الأُفق تَنعس

And I came to a drinking gathering in high spirits,

At dusk, while the sun’s eye dozed on the horizon.
