أَندمت حينَ صَفَحت عَمَن
قَدhad أَساءَdone wrong وَقَدand had ظَلَمacted unjustly
قَد أَساءَ وَقَد ظَلَم
Did you regret it when you pardoned one
I regret when I forgive one
who had done wrong and acted unjustly?
Who has done wrong and oppressed
لاdo not تَندَمنَّregret at all فشرناfor the worst of us
لا تَندَمنَّ فشرنا
مَنone who أَتبَعfollowed with الخَيرgoodness الندمregret
مَن أَتبَع الخَير الندم
Do not regret it, for the worst of us
Do not regret doing good
is one who follows a good deed with regret.
