قُل لِلمزوّج أمَّه

يا أَكبَر الناس هِمَّه

يا أَكبَر الناس هِمَّه

Say to the man marrying off his mother:

“O most ambitious of men!

أَجَل مجد تُحامي

أَجَل مجد تُحامي

عَلَيهِ تَسكين غِلمه

عَلَيهِ تَسكين غِلمه

The noblest glory you defend

Is the quelling of lust.

كَفيت أُمَّك أَمراً

كَفيت أُمَّك أَمراً

مِن الأُمور المُهِّمَه

مِن الأُمور المُهِّمَه

You have spared your mother a concern—

One of the pressing concerns.”
