وَتَوائم لَم تَنشن في نَسَب

وَتَوائم لَم تَنشن في نَسَب

لَكِنَّها اِقتَنَصَت مِن القُضُب

لَكِنَّها اِقتَنَصَت مِن القُضُب

And twins that did not spring from a shared lineage,

Twins not born of the same womb

But were plucked from the boughs,

Yet dressed alike in golden yellow robes

صُفرِ الثِياب كَأَنَّما التحفت

صُفرِ الثِياب كَأَنَّما التحفت

بِغلائل نَسَجَت مِن الذَهَب

بِغلائل نَسَجَت مِن الذَهَب

Yellow-robed, as though they had wrapped themselves

As if clothed in strands of spun gold

In fine robes woven of gold.
