هيف الخُصور ثَقيلات المَآخير
And slender ones, as though love had worn them thin,
With fluttering hair, as though love had disheveled it,
Slim-waisted, heavy in their hindquarters,
In the castles, heavy with sighs,
صُفرyellow الثِيابgarments كَأَنَّas though الدَهرtime أَلبَسَهاhad clothed them
صُفر الثِياب كَأَنَّ الدَهر أَلبَسَها

بِناضر النَبت أَلوان الدَنانير
Yellow-clad, as though time had clothed them,
Their yellow robes as though time had clothed them
Amid lush vegetation, in the colors of dinars.
With the blossoming plants, the hues of gold coins.
