يا رستمي لَقَد لَهَوت بِبركة
أَصبَحَتit has become تَحميit guards حُسنَهاits beauty وَتَصونand preserves
أَصبَحَت تَحمي حُسنَها وَتَصون
O Rustami, you have indeed dallied with a pool
O Rustami, you have indeed amused yourself with a pool
that now guards and preserves its beauty.

وَالعِرسand the bride لاهِيَةٌat play بِبركتهاwith her pool الَّتيwhich
وَالعِرس لاهِيَةٌ بِبركتها الَّتي
يَجريflows إِلَيهاto it الماءthe water آذريونa marigold
يَجري إِلَيها الماء آذريون
And the bride delights in her pool, to which
And the bride, at play with her pool into which
the water flows, marigold-like.
