Oh, who will aid a lovesick man whose slumber has forsaken him?
O you whose ardour was cooled by his aloofness
So there his tears took pity on him and kept him company.
Whose tears then flowed in longing for reunion

The fire of separation, once ignited in his heart

In him the servant finds refuge, when facing terror
whenever he sees the terrors there that fill him with dread.
No matter what horrors make him tremble in fear
