Is this countenance a little moon, or your little face?
With your face, my moon, blessed with joy,
Is this heady draught a little wine, or your little saliva?
Are you wine or is it your crimson glow?

طُريفكyour little glance أمor أبيّضa little white blade فيin حُشَيّاmy little breast
And is that little dark pupil doing the slaying
Your hair black as night slays me,
with your little glance, or a little white blade in my little breast?
Is your forehead or your cheeks more fair?

Your two drowsy little eyes, whose
Your sleepy eyelids gently closed
coy little glance brings a little hurt—
Are protected from harm, it appears.

their little eyebrow, a little bow, shot a little arrow;
Your eyebrows like bows shot arrows
the little root of its little arrowhead is the little warrior's lion.
True to their target, lion of the jungle.

Your little drooping-lidded one has become a little sanctuary—
Your eyelids forbid all to look on you,
your lofty, strong little figure.
Your stature made tall, erect, and slim.

My little heart aches a little from your little estrangement,
My heart is in pain from your abandonment
and at your threat, make it a little remedy.
And at your threat sings a mournful tune.

The honey-sweet little one with dusky lips dispelled my little pain
He who heals the sick removed my sorrow
with that little thing called 'little lip-darkness.'
With your face named the radiant moon.

My little tale of love for you, my little moon,
My expertise in your love, my dear moon,
is clearer than a little sun at forenoon.
Is clear at sunrise, bright and luminous.

Your little slave, through your little absence, my little master—
Your slaves from not having you, my master,
his ailing little heart has a little something made ready for it.
Are sickly and frail from lovesickness.

Your little maiden, the little slave, has a little eye:
Your hand controls your slaves and possesses
a little houri, a little soul, a little wish.
Two gentle, fragrant, delicate palms.

Its little wishes are your little face, my little moon,
The delight of your face, my moon, passes time,
and not that little bough, nor the little gazelle.
Not branches or flowers give such pleasure.

Your forsaken, worn-out little lover—
Your love that abandoned and harmed me,
his little tear-flow is poured out in little sorrow.
Has settled to drink and enjoy the sights.

A little soul sees, in time, a little moment
The winds of fate one day will arrive
sweet with a little union; it sees a little bliss.
With their messages, hopes are renewed.

كماas تُسقىis watered الثرىthe soil منfrom الثُّريّاthe Pleiades
For many a far-off little one gains something from it,
So the distant may suddenly draw near,
as the soil is watered from the Pleiades.
As the soil drinks water falling from the sky.

Take, my little master, from the little son of
My master, you are protected from all harm
Suwaydin, whose little father was known,
Like a master protected by his tribe.

a little necklace of little verse, like a little sweetmeat,
Your faith is like strands in a necklace,
sweet to the little taste, resembling little jewels.
Words strung together in a beautiful line.
