  1. بمعصم يسبي وكفّ

    من حاد عن وَصلِ وكَف

    With wrist and palm he captivates

    Whoever turned from union and held back.

  2. ناديت يا حبي كفى

    من دمع عيني ما وَكَف

    I cried, 'O my beloved, enough

    Of the tears that have streamed from my eye!'
