Full moons of beauty set within the graves,
The full moons of beauty set in graves,
while sorrow’s fire rises in the breasts.
And the fire of sorrow rises in the breasts.

Time has troubled life’s serenity
And time has clouded life's serenity,
and given me melancholy in place of joy.
And given me despondency in place of joy.

Through grief, the light of all the world is darkness,
And the universe's light, through my sorrow, is darkness;
eclipsed by the radiant full moon of my joys.
The radiant full moon of my joys conceals it.

The dust has now become his pillow,
Indeed, earth has become his pillow,
and this after being pillowed upon silk.
And this after silk had been his pillow.

The earth has worn his graceful figure away,
The soil has worn away his handsome frame,
and decay has scattered joy’s whole company.
And through decay shattered the unity of joy.

the pardon of One compassionate, beneficent, forgiving.
Pardoning, merciful, benevolent, ever-forgiving.
