أَنتَ بَدرُ التَمِّ لَكِن
لَكَyou have عَهدٌa pledge فيin المَحاقِthe moon’s dark phase
لَكَ عَهدٌ في المَحاقِ
You are the moon at its fullest, but
We have tested you in good times and bad
your pledge lies in the moon’s dark phase.
And found that you are good only for parting
قَدindeed بَلَوناكَwe have tested you عَلىin حاcondi- (word fragment)
قَد بَلَوناكَ عَلى حا
