O distant one, imposed upon
O you who migrated, time's misfortunes
me by time’s vicissitudes was his remoteness.
Have condemned me to remoteness from you,

Who will enable me to be near the abode
you, though I neither see you nor you see me?
Where you are, while you see me not nor I see you?

I never thought that I
I never thought that I could be content
would accept your estrangement even in my wishes.
With your estrangement even in my dreams.
