عطارد قد واللّه طال ترددي

عطارد قد واللّه طال ترددي

مساء وصبحاً كي أراك فأغنما

مساء وصبحاً كي أراك فأغنما

Mercury, by God, long has my coming and going lasted,

Mercury, by God, your wandering has been long

Evening and morning, to see you and gain.

Morning and evening that I may see you and be glad

فها أنت فامددني قوى أدرك المنى

فها أنت فامددني قوى أدرك المنى

بها والعلوم الغامضات تكرما

بها والعلوم الغامضات تكرما

So here you are: grant me powers to attain my desires,

With it and abstruse knowledge be generous

And, through them, the abstruse sciences, in your generosity.

And protect me from all peril and evil

ووقني المحذور والشر كله

ووقني المحذور والشر كله

بأمر مليك خالق الأرض والسما

بأمر مليك خالق الأرض والسما

And protect me from what is feared and from all evil,

By decree of the King, Creator of earth and sky

By command of the Sovereign, Creator of earth and heaven.
