أشكوا إِلى الله الزمان فصرفه

أبلى جديد قواى وهو جديد

أبلى جديد قواى وهو جديد

I complain to God of time, for its vicissitudes

I complain to God of the times, but He decrees

Have worn out my strength's freshness, while time itself remains new.

My strength is renewed, though the times are ever new
