Its patterns captivate the eyes, as though
His eyes are enchanting, as though
their expanses had been clothed in brocade.
Their lids were clothed in brocade.

Its opposites are gathered together, and in them you see
A collection of opposites - so in them
ghada-wood fire and the torrential downpour.
You see the fire of anger and pouring rain.

Burning hot, its tears streaming, as though
Two heated tears flowing as though
it thereby imitates the impassioned lover.
Speaking of that impassioned lover.

The expanse of its floor was spread out in marble,
His simple land was paved in marble
so glass flowed within it and rose as a cloud of dust.
So glass ran through it and bubbles rose.

And its vault unveiled the sky, yet it merely
His heavens reached the sky, though
set glass in place of the shining stars.
In place of lamps they made glass.

It stood on pillars unveiled as brides,
Standing on smooth pillars like brides
so you see the adorned roof as their crown.
You'd see fish crowned for them with wreaths.
