Sol 6.1

  1. لَقَد طَهَّرَ الرَحمانُ آلَ مُحَمَّدٍ

    وَأَذهَبَ عَنهُم رِجسَهُم وَهُدوا كُلّا

    Indeed, the All-Merciful purified Muhammad’s family,

    and removed their defilement from them; all were guided.

  2. عَجِبتُ لِقَومٍ لا يَرَونَ وَصِيَّهُ

    أَبا حَسَنٍ لِلأَمرِ يَومَ اِنتَدَوا أَهلا

    I marvel at people who do not deem his designated successor,

    Abu Hasan, fit for leadership on the day they assembled.

  3. أَما كانَ في آلِ النِبِيِّ مُحَمَّد

    بِزَعمِكُمُ مَن يَشهَدُ العَقدَ وَالحَلّا

    Was there not among the family of the Prophet Muhammad,

    by your own account, someone to witness the binding and unbinding?

  4. كَذَبتُم أَخوهُ كانَ فيهِم وَعَمُّهُ

    أَشَدُّ الوَرى رَأياً وَأَوثَقُهُم إِلّا

    You have lied! His brother was among them, and his uncle,

    most resolute of mankind in counsel, and firmest in kinship.

  5. فَمَن كانَ يؤَدعوهُ الرَسولُ لِنَصرِهِ

    إِذا لَقَحَت حَربٌ وَمَن كانَ لِلجُلّا

    Then whom did the Messenger call upon to aid him

    when war grew pregnant, and who faced the gravest ordeal?

  6. وَمَن كانَ في دارِ النَبِيِّ خَليفَةً

    كَهارونَ مِن موسى وَمَن بَسَطَ العَدلا

    And who was deputy in the Prophet’s household,

    as Aaron was to Moses, and who spread justice?

  7. وَمَن كانَ مَولى مَن يُوالي مُحَمَّداً

    وَمَن كانَ أَسمى في المُناسِبِ أَو أَعلى

    And who was patron to whoever was loyal to Muhammad?

    And who was loftier in lineage, or higher?

  8. فَموسى وَهارونَ كَأحمَدَ وَالرِضا

    عَلِيٍّ فَهَل مِن ثالِثٍ نالَ ذا الفَضلا

    Thus Moses and Aaron are like Ahmad and the approved one,

    Ali—has any third attained this distinction?

  9. أُخُوَّةُ خَيرِ الناسِ خَيرُ مَزِيَّةٍ

    فَأَينَ بِكُم عَن هَذِهِ أَوضَحوا السُبلا

    Brotherhood with the best of humankind is the finest distinction.

    So where are you being led away from this? Make the paths clear!

  10. وَأَربَعَةٌ وَالمُصطَفى خامِسٌ لَهُم

    أَفاضَ عَلَيهِم مِرطَهُ وَتَلا فَصلا

    And four, with the Chosen One as their fifth—

    he spread his mantle over them and recited a passage.

  11. وَفيهِم عَلِيٌّ بِالكِساءِ مُلَقَّعاً

    وَفي سورَةِ الإِنسانِ أَمدحُهُ تُتلى

    And among them was Ali, wrapped in the cloak,

    and in Surah Al-Insan his praises are recited.

  12. وَإِنّي لَأُعطي أَوَّلَ الفَضلِ رُتبَةً

    وَإِن لامَني قَومٌ لِأَوَّلِ مَن صَلّى

    And I surely grant the foremost rank of merit—

    even if some people reproach me—to the first who prayed.
