أَلم تر عَيْنَ الرأْس لست تَرَى بِها

أَلم تر عَيْنَ الرأْس لست تَرَى بِها

وإِنْ سَلِمَتَ إِلاَّ بنورٍ مِنَ الشمس

وإِنْ سَلِمَتَ إِلاَّ بنورٍ مِنَ الشمس

Have you not seen that with the eye of the head you cannot see,

Have you not seen that the eye of the head sees not

even if it is sound, except by light from the sun?

Except with a light that comes from the sun?

كذلك عينُ القلْب وهي سَلِيمةٌ

كذلك عينُ القلْب وهي سَلِيمةٌ

فَلَيْسَتْ ترى إِلاَّ بنور مِنَ القُدْسِ

فَلَيْسَتْ ترى إِلاَّ بنور مِنَ القُدْسِ

Likewise, the eye of the heart, though it is sound,

So too is the eye of the heart though it be unscathed -

sees only by light from the Holy.

It sees naught but by the Light that comes from the Sanctum.
