Sol 6.1

  1. أَصْبَحْتُ للدُّنْيا الدَّنِيَّة

    كارهاً لا أَشتهيها

    Toward this base world I have become

    full of loathing, with no desire for it.

  2. وعَقَقْتُ منها طائِعاً

    أُمِّي فما أَنا من بَنِيها

    And willingly I have been undutiful to her,

    my mother; I am not one of her sons.

  3. ووهبْتُها مِني لبَا

    ئِع نَفْسِه كَيْ يَشْتَرِيها

    And I have given it away, for my part, to one

    who sells his soul to buy it.

  4. ورفضْتُها لغُرورِها

    ولخِسَّة الشُّرَكَاءِ فيها

    And I have rejected it for its deceit,

    and for the baseness of those who share in it.
