عليٌّ وعثمانٌ أَبُوهُ وجدُّه

عليٌّ وعثمانٌ أَبُوهُ وجدُّه

عَلى قولِه حَاشا عليّاً وعُثْمانا

عَلى قولِه حَاشا عليّاً وعُثْمانا

Ali and Uthman are his father and grandfather,

according to him—far be it from Ali and Uthman!

فإِن سَرقُوا أَسماءَ الكرامِ فربَّما

فإِن سَرقُوا أَسماءَ الكرامِ فربَّما

رأَيْنا يَهودِياً يُسمَّى سُليمانا

رأَيْنا يَهودِياً يُسمَّى سُليمانا

For if they have stolen the names of the noble, then sometimes

we have seen a Jew named Sulayman.
