يا لائِمي إِن مِتُّ فيهِ اِتَّئِد

يا لائِمي إِن مِتُّ فيهِ اِتَّئِد

أَو فَإِلى أَجفانِهِ نَحتَكِم

أَو فَإِلى أَجفانِهِ نَحتَكِم

O you who blame me, if I die for him, do not be hasty;

Or else, let us appeal to his eyelids for judgment.

غَرِقتُ في بَحرِ هَواهُ وَذا

غَرِقتُ في بَحرِ هَواهُ وَذا

كَ الرِدفُ مِنهُ مَوجَهُ المُلتَطِم

كَ الرِدفُ مِنهُ مَوجَهُ المُلتَطِم
