سَآلَفُهَاI shall cherish her إلفَwith the affection of العَتِيقِthe freed slave كِتَابَهُhis writ of freedom
سَآلَفُهَا إلفَ العَتِيقِ كِتَابَهُ
وَلاَand not أشتَهِيI desire وِرداًa draught سِوَاهَأother than her إلَىuntil الحَشرِthe Resurrection
وَلاَ أشتَهِي وِرداً سِوَاهَأ إلَى الحَشرِ
I shall cherish her as a freed slave cherishes his writ of freedom,
Its eloquence is that of an ancient book
And I desire no draught but her until the Resurrection.
And I desire no rose but it until the day we are gathered
