أَعلامُهُ السودُ إِعلامٌ بِسُؤدُدِهِ
كَأَنَّهاas though they were فَوقَupon خَدِّcheek المَلِكِthe king خيلانُbeauty spots
كَأَنَّها فَوقَ خَدِّ المَلِكِ خيلانُ
His black banners proclaim his eminence,
His black flags are a sign of his harshness,
as though they were beauty spots upon the king's cheek.
As though above the cheek of a king are two moles.
