قَدindeed كَتَبَhas written الحُسنُbeauty عَلىupon خَدِّهِhis cheek
قَد كَتَبَ الحُسنُ عَلى خَدِّهِ
إِنّاindeed, We فَتَحناWe have granted لَكَto you فَتحاًa victory مُبينclear
إِنّا فَتَحنا لَكَ فَتحاً مُبين
Beauty has indeed written upon his cheek:
Beauty has written upon his cheek
Indeed, We have granted you a clear victory.
We have granted you a clear conquest
ياO قَلبُheart إِنif مِلتَyou incline إِلىtoward غَيرِهِsomeone other than him
يا قَلبُ إِن مِلتَ إِلى غَيرِهِ
ماnot أَنتَyou إِلّاexcept فيin ضَلالٍerror مُبينclear
ما أَنتَ إِلّا في ضَلالٍ مُبين
O heart, if you incline toward anyone but him,
O heart if you incline towards another
You are in nothing but clear error.
You are but in manifest error
