And lapis lazuli, whose radiance dazzles,
Nor of any bright, effulgent rose
Exquisite in its qualities, pleasing,
Of choicest elegance, of beauty rare,
كَأَنَّهُas though it مِنfrom حُسنِbeauty مَرآهُits appearance قَدhad

ذابَت عَلَيهِ زُرقَةُ الأَعيُنِ
As though, from the beauty of its appearance,
That one might fancy that, because so bright,
The blue of eyes had melted upon it.
Upon it fell the blueness of the eyes.
