مَنْ نال مِنْ يَحْيى اسمَ والدِهِ

مَنْ نال مِنْ يَحْيى اسمَ والدِهِ

أَيْقَنْتُ حقّاً أَنّه يحيا

أَيْقَنْتُ حقّاً أَنّه يحيا

Whoever receives from Yahya his father's name—

Whoever is named after Yahya his father

I am truly certain that he will live.

I truly know he will live

وَمَنِ ابتلاه بطُولِ هِجرته

وَمَنِ ابتلاه بطُولِ هِجرته

وجفا عليه فليس في الأَحْيا

وجفا عليه فليس في الأَحْيا

And whoever he afflicts with his prolonged estrangement

And whoever is tested by his long absence

and treats harshly is not among the living.

And aloofness towards him, he is not among the living
