أيُّهَاO ذَاyou المُدَّعِيwho claims لَسَنَاeloquence
كُفَّstop مِنfrom عَذلِيreproaching me أنَأI وأنَاand I
O you who claim eloquence,
O you who falsely accuse me, leave me be
Stop reproaching me with 'I' and 'I'.
Stop blaming me, I am who I am
أرَأيتَhave you seen?
وَرَأيتَand you saw الشَّرَّevil كَيفَhow رَنَاgazed intently
Have you seen how rancor appeared?
Have you seen how malice appeared
And have you seen how evil gazed intently?
And how evil shrieked
بِعتَنِيyou sold me وكَساًat a loss بِلاَwithout ثَمَنٍa price
كَيفَhow لَوif أُعطِيتَyou were given بِيfor me ثَمَنَاa price
You sold me at a loss, for nothing.
You dressed me in a coat without price
What if you had been paid a price for me?
What if you were given a price for me
لاَdo not تَزِدincrease شَتمِيinsulting me وَمَنقصَتِيand belittling me
إنَّمَاonly المَغبُونُthe cheated one مَنwhoever غَبَنَاcheated
Do not further insult and belittle me.
Do not increase your insults and belittlement of me
Only the one who cheats is truly cheated.
Surely the deceived one is he who deceived
