I have not forgotten him, when he kissed the Corner alone,

Nor my placing my mouth on it where his mouth had been.

So I attained my heart's desire without suspicion,

And kissed him, save for a consecrated pilgrim's scruples.

And I came away with a pilgrimage like holy war, for I

Combined through it both reward and spoils.
