رَأَى وَجهَ من أَهوى عَذُولي فقالَ لي

رَأَى وَجهَ من أَهوى عَذُولي فقالَ لي

أَرى وجهَ من تَهواه صار كَرِيهَا

أَرى وجهَ من تَهواه صار كَرِيهَا

My reproacher saw the face of the one I love and said to me:

He saw the face of my beloved and said to me

"I see the face of the one you love has become ugly."

I see the face of the one you love has become hateful

فَقلتُ له وجهُ الحبيبِ مراية

فَقلتُ له وجهُ الحبيبِ مراية

وأَنتَ تَرى تِمثالَ وجهكَ فيهَا

وأَنتَ تَرى تِمثالَ وجهكَ فيهَا

So I said to him, "The beloved's face is a mirror,

So I said to him the face of the beloved is a mirror

and you see the image of your own face in it."

And you see the image of your face in it
