إذا كنتَ لم تَشْهَدْ مكارِمَ صاعدٍ

إذا كنتَ لم تَشْهَدْ مكارِمَ صاعدٍ

وقَصّرَ عن إدْراكِهِنَّ بكَ العُمْرُ

وقَصّرَ عن إدْراكِهِنَّ بكَ العُمْرُ

If you have not witnessed Ṣāʿid’s noble deeds,

If you have not witnessed the virtues of Saad ascending

and your lifetime was too short for you to behold them,

And your life fell short of comprehending them

فطَرْفَكَ فارفعْ فالمجَرَّةُ قَبْرُهُ

فطَرْفَكَ فارفعْ فالمجَرَّةُ قَبْرُهُ

وأفْعالُهُ من حَوْلِها الأنْجُمُ الزُّهْرُ

وأفْعالُهُ من حَوْلِها الأنْجُمُ الزُّهْرُ

then raise your gaze, for the Milky Way is his grave,

Then raise your eyes, for the galaxy is his grave

and his deeds are the radiant stars around it.

And his deeds are the stars that surround it, blossoming
