ولماand when نَزلناwe alighted منزلاًa resting place طلَّهmoistened it النَّدَىthe dew
ولما نَزلنا منزلاً طلَّه النَّدَى
أَنيقاًlovely وبستاناًand a garden منwith النَّورِthe blossoms حاليَاadorned
أَنيقاً وبستاناً من النَّورِ حاليَا
And when we alighted at a resting place moistened by dew,
When we alighted at a halt where dew had fallen
lovely, and at a garden adorned with blossoms,
A place most delicate, and a garden bright
أَجدَّrenewed لناfor us طيبُpleasantness المكانِthe place وحسنهand its beauty
أَجدَّ لنا طيبُ المكانِ وحسنه
منىًwishes فتمنيناso we wished فكنتَso you were الأَمانيَاthe wishes
منىً فتمنينا فكنتَ الأَمانيَا
the place's pleasantness and beauty renewed our
The goodness of the spot and its beauty kindled
wishes; so we wished, and you were our every wish.
In me hopes to which you were the sole delight
