وحولَ نَقَا سَوَالِفِهِ عِذَارُ

وحولَ نَقَا سَوَالِفِهِ عِذَارُ

كما شَقَّرتَ نقشاً في لعينِ

كما شَقَّرتَ نقشاً في لعينِ

And around the sand dune of his temples runs a line of beard,

And around his conversations reproach

As you tinted a design reddish in an accursed one [wording unclear].

As you engraved a pattern in the eye

أَضلُ اذا نَظرتُ لوجنتيهِ

أَضلُ اذا نَظرتُ لوجنتيهِ

أُنَزَّه في النقا والرَّقمتينِ

أُنَزَّه في النقا والرَّقمتينِ

I lose my way when I gaze at his two cheeks;

I lose myself when I look upon his cheeks

I am taken strolling through al-Naqā and al-Raqmatayn.

I become chaste in conversation and in traits
