انَّ الوفاءَ وفاءٌ لا يُغيُره

انَّ الوفاءَ وفاءٌ لا يُغيُره

صرفُ الزمانِ بادبارٍ واقبالِ

صرفُ الزمانِ بادبارٍ واقبالِ

Indeed, loyalty is loyalty, unchanged by

Loyalty is loyalty, time cannot change it

the turns of time, in adversity and prosperity.

Though the years go by, fading and returning

اني أُنبيكَ عن قولي وعن خُلقي

اني أُنبيكَ عن قولي وعن خُلقي

والمجدُ يعتدُّ أَقوالي بأفعالي

والمجدُ يعتدُّ أَقوالي بأفعالي

Indeed, I tell you of my words and of my character,

I warn you of my words and my ways

and glory measures my words by my deeds.

Glory values my deeds above my speech

قد أَمقت البخلَ في كفٍّ بلا عَدَمٍ

قد أَمقت البخلَ في كفٍّ بلا عَدَمٍ

وأَرحم الجودَ في كفٍّ بلا مالِ

وأَرحم الجودَ في كفٍّ بلا مالِ

I do loathe stinginess in a hand free of poverty,

I abhor stinginess in a hand that lacks nothing

and pity generosity in a hand without money.

And praise generosity in a hand without wealth
