فَما الشُؤونُ إِذا جادَت بِباقِيَةٍ

وَلا الجُفُنُ عَلى هَذا وَلا الحَدَقُ

وَلا الجُفُنُ عَلى هَذا وَلا الحَدَقُ

So the tear ducts, when they flow freely, will not endure,

When bounties are generous

Nor, in this state, will the eyelids, nor the pupils.

Neither eyelids nor eyes can close
