بة والتواصلَ والوداد

Who is it that ordained love,

communion, and affection,

and communion and affection?

فكأَنَّه لم يَدرِ ما

فكأَنَّه لم يَدرِ ما

محنُ التفرُّقِ والبِعاد

محنُ التفرُّقِ والبِعاد

as though he did not know

For it is as though he did not know what

the trials of parting and distance?

the torments of separation and distance are.
