إِلهي أَنتَ ذو فَضلٍ ومنِّ

إِلهي أَنتَ ذو فَضلٍ ومنِّ

وإِحسانٍ يزيدُ على التَمنّي

وإِحسانٍ يزيدُ على التَمنّي

My God, You possess grace and bounty,

My God, you are of overflowing favor and grace

And kindness surpassing what one could wish.

Your bounty exceeds all wishes and craving

وَعفوك شاملٌ أَهلَ الخَطايا

وَعفوك شاملٌ أَهلَ الخَطايا

وإِنّي ذو خَطاءٍ فاِعفُ عنّي

وإِنّي ذو خَطاءٍ فاِعفُ عنّي

And Your pardon embraces those who sin,

Your pardon embraces those laden with sin

And I am one who errs, so pardon me.

Though I am sinful, absolve and forgive me

وظنّي فيك يا ربّي جَميلٌ

وظنّي فيك يا ربّي جَميلٌ

وَعادتك الجَميلُ بغير ضَنِّ

وَعادتك الجَميلُ بغير ضَنِّ

And my opinion of You, my Lord, is good,

My thoughts of You, my Lord, are so fair

And Your way is goodness without stint.

As befits Your beautiful, bounteous care

وَها أَنا فيك قد أَحسنت ظنّاً

وَها أَنا فيك قد أَحسنت ظنّاً

فحقِّق يا إلهي حُسنَ ظَنّي

فحقِّق يا إلهي حُسنَ ظَنّي

And here I am, having formed a good opinion of You,

In You my hopes have found their rightful place

So, my God, fulfill my good expectations.

Please fulfill, my God, my faith in Your grace
