منwhoever قاسَcompared جَدوىbounty يديكyour two hands يوماًever
من قاسَ جَدوى يديك يوماً
بالغيثِto the rain ماdid not برَّspeak truly فيin اِمتداحِكpraising you
بالغيثِ ما برَّ في اِمتداحِك
Whoever has ever compared the bounty of your hands
The one who compared the benefit of your hands one day
to rain has not spoken truly in your praise.
To rain that did not pour down in your praise
الغيثُthe rain ينهلُّpours down وهوَwhile it is باكٍweeping
الغيثُ ينهلُّ وهوَ باكٍ
وأَنتَand you تُعطيgive وأَنتَwhile you are ضاحِكlaughing
وأَنتَ تُعطي وأَنتَ ضاحِك
Rain pours down while weeping,
The rain pours down while crying
and you give while laughing.
