يا سيدي شاشيَ أمسى به
خرقa tear وقدand already ضاقhas grown narrow بيfor me الخلقtemper; patience
خرق وقد ضاق بي الخلق
O my master, my muslin turban now has
a tear, and my patience has worn thin.
فابعثso send الىto العبدthe servant سواهanother in its place وجدand bestow
فابعث الى العبد سواه وجد
مناa favor والاand if not اتسعwill widen الخرقthe tear
منا والا اتسع الخرق
So send your servant another, and grant
a favor; otherwise, the tear will widen.
