And your beauty rends the hearts of your enemies.

Exalted and glorified is He who fashioned you as a human!

And your mouth’s Ha-Mims—even if I know them

Through a whiff—surpass ghaliya perfume.

هذى أنوار على العيون غاشيه

And your brow shone in the night; we said:

“These are lights veiling the eyes.”
