How wondrous a budding maiden’s pouch, which revealed to us
A fragrant breeze has brought to us
A mole with which the sun of the eastern horizons shone!
The east's bright sun now shines across
كانتit was منكرةunrecognized فابدىthen revealed نشرهits scent
كانت منكرة فابدى نشره
فتعرفتand so it became known بعبيرهby its fragrance وتحققتand was confirmed
فتعرفت بعبيره وتحققت
It was unrecognized; then its scent revealed it,
Once unrecognized, its scent laid bare
And so it became known by its fragrance, its identity confirmed.
With sweet perfume made known its cause
