مطلب دموعي إن نفد

وعز تبرو واللجين

My tears will run out if I keep crying,

And dignity disappears, and determination,

فلا تلمني لي سنين

أبكي عليك بكل عين

So don't blame me for years

I cry for you with all my eyes

هذا الذي قتلي نحا

ومعرفة حالي ذكر

This is what my killer did

And knowing my state reminded

في مبتدا عمري ضنى

جسمي وما عنده خير

me at the beginning of my life was stingy

My body and it has no good

وفعل وصل يانجزم

يا مرو ونا نصب الهجر

An act of connection O resolute

O Maro high sand dunes of estrangement

وللجوى افردن حين

ثنا بالقد الرديني

And for yearning singled out a time

Praised with the fine the reddish

وقلت بالكسر اعربوا

وما التقى فيه ساكنين

And said with the fracture elaborate

And did not meet therein two quiescent

لما سما لو عارضين

حول شامتين الوجنتين

If he heard adversaries

Around gloating the two cheeks

راعيتهم من مقلتي

بالعارضين الممطرين

I watched them blink

With the two rainy adversaries

سمع بحالي شامتين

جوانهم لي ناصحين

My gloating enemies heard about my state

Their youth advised me

قالوا لي اش حالك ناديت

واش حال اسير المقلتين

They said why are you calling my state?

And why the state of the prisoner of the two blinks

بين عارضين وعارضين

وشامتين وشامتين

Between two adversaries and two adversaries

And two gloating enemies and two gloating enemies

لما تبدى منيتي

وقرطو يخفق في دلال

When my death appeared

And the earrings fluttered coquettishly

خفق فؤادي حين رآه

وزاد بخفانو اشتغال

My heart fluttered when it saw it

وحين حكم لو بالجفا

والصد ناديت يا غزال

And when it ruled me with estrangement

And coldness, I called oh gazelle

قلبي وقرطك قد بدو

طوعك وملكك في اليدين

My heart and your earrings have appeared

Obey you and your possession in the hands

احكم يا سلطان الملاح

بما تشا في الخافقين

Judge, O Sultan Al-Melah

What you want in the two flutterers

دالي بدابل مقلتو

ودابل القد استطال

My affliction, double blink

And the foot affliction elongated

لما سما الصارم شهر

من لحظو اسمر للقتال

When the executioner sword month appeared

From its glances, brown for fighting

وحين لقاني بين يديه

اسير تلطف بي وقال

And when he met me in front of him

A prisoner, he was kind to me and said

ان مت في عشقي يكون

عجب ورب المشرقين

If I die in my love it would be

Strange, by the Lord of the two easts

قلت العجب ان كان تعيش

بين دابلين وصارمين

I said the wonder would be if you live

Between my blinkers and executioners

صدقا رايت من نعشقو

كوكب بحسنو والجمال

Indeed, I saw whom we love

A planet in its beauty and perfection

قال يا اديب صف واضجي

وقامتي يا فصح مقال

He said, O scholar, describe and compose poetry

And my stature, O eloquent speech

ناديت قمر كامل ظهر

فوق كم اخذ روح ومال

I called, a full moon appeared

Above how much it took the soul and money

قال ناظري صف لي نديت

ما لي جلد للناظرين

The looker said: Describe

I have no skin for the lookers

قال حاجبي قلت ومن

يطيق وصف الحاجبين

He said my eyebrows, I said but who

Can withstand describing the two eyebrows
